I'm just a poor student who has developed this project in his free time. If you like it, use it intensively or just want to support me, please donate something :)

Merry christmas!

I wish you all a merry christmas! Put your pad aside and spend some time with your friends and family.

I just wanted to give you a small update on the projects developement as a present. But first, thank you all so much for your mass of supportmails. It feels so good to know that there are so many people who use my work, who seem to have fun with it and who give me their ideas on how to improve it.

But I'm sorry to have to tell you that because of a harddisc-accident all of my projects sourcecode files are lost. To not let this happen again, I got some money and hardware to christmas to build my own little server (my "own cloud"), which backups all my private files daily. Should be ready till new year. Nevertheless, everything I did so far for version 2.1 is now for the birds. Because of that I started my work on a new version 3.0 just a few days ago. The positive thing about that is that I can build it up for all the new ideas straight from the beginning. But don't expect any miracles, work will take its time.

When I have something more concrete for you, you will get to now about it somewhere (see this page and facebook as your best choices).

But for now I wish you all a great holiday and a happy new year.

A small request from me

To all my "fans" who try to send me their feedback with the form on the homepage: please check your given email twice if everything is complete/correct, otherwise I can not write you back. :) My mailbox is full of emails which I can not answer, because

  • a) the "@provider.com"-part is missing.
  • b) there are spelling mistakes which make the adress unuseable.
  • c) the answer recieving mailbox is full.
So, if you want to have an answer to your mails, check if everything is alright.

Work on 2.1

After some days of time to play for myself, I today started the work on version 2.1. So, let me ask you:

  • What should I add to make the project even better?
  • Which settings or functions do you want, which are not working right now or which you can not set right now?
  • What are your wishes for the project?
You can tell me your suggestions, ideas and wishes with the contact form (in the menu on the left at "Info & Contact").

Heavily bugged... (fixed)

If you had already downloaded version 2.0, please redownload the new version 2.0a. In the previous release are severe bugs which have crept in (which were NOT there at the last time I tested it). This release adds a better detection for the "press a button = press a key"-function and fixes a bug, which made the game behave as if the shift key or the left mouse button were stuck. Sorry for the inconvenience ...

Version 2.0 - finally done!

Finally done! Version 2.0 is ready for download. Furthermore, the projects webpage had some improvements as well. Just head over in the download area and grab your new program. And as you are already here, please visit all the other categories as well - especially the guide section.

EDIT: The guides are now available in english.

Another bugfix

You can get version 1.0a now in the download section. This version smoothes the behavior of the analog sticks, which will remove the "snapping" at certain positions. This makes aiming much easier.

Version 2.0 will be ready within the next days. Just visit the website more frequently in the next few days - it's worth it!

The download of the bugfix version was not linked properly. Now it is fixed and you should be able to download AND unpack the newest version properly.

Content added

I have added an example of a key binding profile to the 'How To's. In this example I describe how to setup certain in game functions.

Bugfix, future plans & Facebook

I have noticed that some people are having a problem with 'trembling' analogsticks. This happens because I had used a really small deadzone. If you were one of the unlucky having this issue, head over to the download section and download the fixed version.

Furthermore I would like to tell you that I have found a new solution on how to address the gamepads, which will ...

  • ...make more gamepads compatible (now every gamepad that is detected by windows should work).
  • ...there will be no more need of doing this "byte-configuration-stuff".
Just give me some more days as I will have to change a lot of code.

And if you are one of those people who have a Facebook account, you really should follow this project, as I will...

  • ...be able to read all your suggestions there.
  • ...try to help you with problems caused by misconfigurations.
  • ...always post there first about important updates.
So, just go there and give me a 'like' :)

Content added

I have added a video to the 'How To' section which demonstrates how to use the D3GamepadConfigurator by using an Xbox360 gamepad as an example. Furthermore I have added a list of known bugs and ideas in the 'About the project' section which you have given to me by forum posts, YouTube comments or Facebook postings.

Finally! After a long development time of nearly 3 weeks I finished version 1.0 of the program. You can go and get your copy in the download section. The page is still under construction, but I know that you want this tool so much, so I decided to go online right now. :)
